representation, business and note brokering, online publishing and business consultations. Scribes
Unlimited's ongoing challenge is to put our customer's satisfaction at the top of our list. We strive to meet the requirements of each of our clients, and create for them
the very best products and services for their money. It's really not
rocket science to make a successful company; simply work well with your
clients, make them happy and keep them coming back.

About the Founders
Paula
M. Kalamaras --
From the time she was a little girl and her grandmother
used to tell her tales of the friendly "Monster in the backyard, who lived under an
ancient pine tree", Paula wanted to be a writer. In 1993, after
leaving a stuffy job, Paula became a freelance writer! For years she has been
writing short stories, novels, genre fiction and essays and non-fiction. Along with
Paul Kraly, she has been an integral part of Scribes Unlimited, LLC writing
grants, technical manuals, reports, business plans, editing books, articles and doing
research. Paula aspires to having a best-selling novel, writing screenplays, and
producing her own works. But in the meantime, she is concentrating on ensuring that
new authors have the best site to share their works with the world. Paula graduated
from Ohio Wesleyan University with a double major in Humanities and AMRS (Ancient Medieval
and Renaissance Studies). She earned her Master's (MLS) from the University of
Pittsburgh with concentrations in Information Science, Reference, and Rare Books.
She loves reading, writing, swimming, horseback riding, seeing films and plays, and
cooking (she likes "Iron Chef" too!). Her favorite expression, which comes
from the late great Will Rogers, is: "in order to succeed you must know what you are
doing, like what you are doing and believe in what you are doing" And she does!
Paul
T. Kraly --
With thirty short stories and four novels to his credit, Paul
is fast becoming a talented writer in the genre of young adult fiction
and horror. He also has aspirations of a screenwriting career, with a screenplay already
making the Hollywood circuit, and another two currently being written. His favorite type
of story centers around "a main hero or heroine, thrown into a world of chaos, and
forced to deal with it, and rise above it to seek their destinies." Paul holds two
degrees; one in Computer Science in Applied Business from Lorain County Community College
in Ohio, and a specialized degree in Music Video Business from the Art Institute of
Pittsburgh, where he graduated with Honors and became the first bona-fide screenwriter to
emerge from the program. His loves include movies, books, music, games, and the occasional
"Iron Chef" TV show. His favorite saying: "You are considered a failure
only when you consider yourself a failure."
M ai-Kai
(pronounced 'my-ky') -- Well what can we say about him?
His
name meant "Everyday" in Japanese and it certainly fit him.
Sadly, our beloved friend passed away August 9, 2004 at the ripe age of
18. He'd always been
here for us, watching our work, adding his own critiques as needed. His meows ranged from "Feed me!" to "I want that
pillow now!" to "You call that art?" He could be seen lounging on top
of one of the computer monitors, supervising and taking cat naps.
His ashes currently sit in a lovely china cabinet in our office. He will be
greatly missed. In his stead, we have two darling black cats named Grimalkin
and Mystery, and while they can never take his place, they seem determined
to make us love them just as much. :-)
